On April 5, 2019, the Sydney Airport Authority welcomed Cape Breton University’s Tourism and Hospitality Society for an airport tour as well as an in-depth conversation about how the airport is a vital component not only for the tourism industry in Cape Breton but also to the international student market, which has grown exponentially over the last number of years.

On July 3, 2019 the Sydney Airport Authority was able to spend the morning with some future flyers and their moms through Mommy Connections Cape Breton.

The Sydney Airport Authority loves young travelers and we’re always so excited to show them around. This Children’s House group from the Montessori School came out to see our weather tower, do a scavenger hunt and to see our specialty fire trucks.

The J.A. Douglas McCurdy Sydney Airport is often the first welcoming point for International students who come to study in Cape Breton. These students and their families and friends always have the most heartwarming hellos.

We were so humbled to present Sheila Nolan from The Society of St. Vincent de Paul in Reserve Mines with a $500 holiday donation.
The St. Vincent de Paul Society was the charity of choice for our Holiday Tree Decorating Contest winners, The Commissionaires.
