JA Douglas McCurdy Sydney Airport has been the point of thousands of departures and arrivals since Trans-Canada Airlines began passenger service to and from Sydney on May 1, 1942. AvGas 100LL Aviation Fuel is available - for the current price, please contact the Sydney Airport Authority at 902-564-7720. Self-serve pay-at-the-pump via credit card is available.
We have a limited number of tie downs available at the Commissioanire's desk, in case you forget to bring your own (no guarantee on availiability - call ahead to check 902-564-7723).
Crew room is available in the terminal building equipped with satellite tv, comfy sofas, computer and wifi - no charge. For crew room access, please see the Commissionaire Desk.
General aviation and charter pilots and passengers are reminded that passengers must be escorted by the pilot or a person employed by the flight operator while in the restricted area and not to approach the arrivals gate when commercial air passengers are boarding or disembarking.

We are a CANPASS airport so private aircraft that meet the requirements of the CANPASS – Private Aircraft program can land at any airport of entry any time the site is open, regardless of the hours of operation of the local CBSA office. The 1-888-CANPASS (1-888-226-7277) toll-free line is only available in Canada and the United States. If a flight originates outside Canada or the United States, the 1-888 number is not available and the pilot must call the TRC directly (long-distance charges may apply).
