JA Douglas McCurdy Sydney Airport has been the point of thousands of departures and arrivals since Trans-Canada Airlines began passenger service to and from Sydney in 1947. Over the years, a number of scheduled and charter services have operated in Sydney Airport. The airport is currently home to two regularly scheduled passenger airlines, Air Canada and Air St. Pierre, and several charter services, including Provincial Airlines,  Maritime Air Charters. Atlantic Charters and Skylink Express. In addition, WestJet Airlines and Air Canada offer direct flights Sydney - Toronto from May to October.
